If you were to be walking down S. Main street, you might just miss Morgan’s, a little ice cream shop in Fort Worth, Texas, but what they lack for in size, they make up for in flavor.
I went dairy free (for the most part!) several years ago and ice cream was one of my favorite treats from before that.
My husband and I stumbled upon this gem of an ice cream shop during a weekend getaway for our anniversary. I saw that they had Vegan (and gluten free) ice cream as well as regular flavors that I knew my husband would enjoy.

We ventured out after dinner at the famous Joe T. Garcia’s to try this scoop shop and I’m so glad we did! In fact, we went back the next two nights we were there! 😅

My husband LOVED the regular flavors and I couldn’t believe how delicious and creamy their vegan options were! Not only that but they have 7 flavors that they keep all year long and 4 rotating flavors each month. Usually 1-2 of the rotating flavors they have are vegan and gluten free so anyone who needs those options gets to join in on the fun of new flavors as well!
My favorite standard flavor is the fudged up cookie dough (V/GF) and my husband’s is the strawberry magic. They also recently had a vegan and gluten free rotating flavor called S’morgans and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Morgan’s house made vegan ice cream is a blend of coconut and oat milk ice cream. If you’re not a coconut lover the blend of the two milks really works to make the coconut flavor not as strong, in my opinion. And to add a little more fun to the summer, Morgan’s has a fun day called “stuff your stainless” . You pay $10 and get four scoops stuffed into your own stainless cup. I’ve never gotten to participate as my timing did not line up, but I found out this last year that they sold vouchers where you could come in whenever you wanted instead of having to wait in line on that one day (did I mention it’s a tiny shop?!).

Anytime we are near Fort Worth, my husband and I always make an excuse to visit this delicious little shop and I hope you will too!
